Specialist support for the issues that matter most

Welcome

Life can feel overwhelming when relationships become strained, intimacy feels distant, or you're struggling with issues that feel too difficult to face alone. Whether you're experiencing communication breakdowns, sexual difficulties, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself or your partner, you deserve compassionate, professional support to help you move forward.

Taking the first step toward therapy requires courage, and I'm here to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your concerns and work toward meaningful change at your own pace.

Your therapy, completely tailored to you

I'm Lisa Stevenson, an experienced psychotherapist with over 20 years of expertise in relationship and psychosexual therapy. As a BACP and COSRT registered practitioner, I specialise in helping individuals and couples navigate a range of issues, from depression and anxiety to complex relationship dynamics, sexual difficulties, and compulsive sexual behaviours.

My integrative approach combines systemic, psychodynamic, and CBT techniques, ensuring your therapy is tailored to your unique circumstances. I work online, providing accessible support to clients across Derby, Derbyshire, and beyond.

Whether you're seeking individual therapy, couples counselling, or clinical supervision, I offer warm, professional service grounded in extensive training.

My particular expertise lies in psychosexual therapy and compulsive sexual behaviours, areas where specialised support can be hard to find.

You deserve confidential, compassionate care focused on meaningful, lasting change.

How Counselling and Psychotherapy Can Help You

Counselling and psychotherapy provide a confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional. It's not about giving advice or quick fixes, but rather about helping you understand patterns, develop coping strategies, and make meaningful changes at your own pace.

Through our work together, you can expect to gain clarity about your situation, develop new perspectives, and build practical skills to handle life's challenges. Many of my clients find that addressing one area of their life positively impacts other areas too. Improving relationships often enhances your self-esteem, work satisfaction, and overall wellbeing.

Therapy is a collaborative process where you remain in control of your journey, supported by my professional expertise and genuine care.
